Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations, conduct daily safety briefings, and investigate accident reports to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock discrepancies, and implement efficient workflows to optimize warehouse space and reduce waste.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current operations and implement lean initiatives or new technologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of forklifts and material handling equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role within the logistics or manufacturing sector.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (with ability to obtain any additional required certifications).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) such as SAP, Manhattan, or Oracle.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading diverse teams and managing conflict effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document reports clearly.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
