Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor shipment progress and track packages to resolve any delays or logistical issues proactively.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding shipment status and expectations.
- Manage inventory levels related to outbound shipping and maintain accurate records of all logistics activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in shipping routes and carrier selection.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and shipping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
