Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and optimal routing.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve shipping issues and delays.
- Maintain accurate records in the company's logistics management software and databases.
- Monitor freight costs and negotiate rates with 3PL providers to ensure budget compliance.
- Conduct daily checks of inventory levels and coordinate stock movements to prevent shipping bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations, hazardous materials handling, and international trade compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site meetings if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
