Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers (LTL, FTL, air, ocean)
- Manage order processing, documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, customs forms), and compliance
- Track shipments in real-time using WMS/TMS systems and provide proactive status updates
- Resolve shipping delays, damages, and customs clearance issues
- Optimize routes and negotiate rates with carriers to reduce costs
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams
- Maintain accurate shipping records and generate performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in shipping/logistics coordination role
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS software (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and hazardous materials
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
- Forklift certification a plus
- Experience with Houston port/rail operations preferred
