Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as required.
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of shipping terminology, Incoterms, and freight classification.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
