Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes for domestic and international freight
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, certificates of origin)
- Optimize routes and carrier selection to reduce transit times
- Track shipments in real-time and provide proactive client updates
- Resolve logistics disruptions and negotiate carrier rates
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customs teams
- Maintain compliance with DOT and international trade regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight/shipping coordination
- Proficiency in TMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and customs clearance
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in high-volume environments
- High attention to detail with documentation accuracy
- Forklift certification preferred
