Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations, including vessel bookings, trucking arrangements, and customs clearance
- Manage documentation compliance (BOLs, invoices, customs forms) to ensure regulatory adherence
- Optimize cargo loading plans to maximize container utilization and minimize costs
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit disruptions
- Liaise with port authorities, carriers, and clients to maintain transparent communication
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Maintain digital inventory of shipping assets and documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics operations
- Expertise in Incoterms 2020 and international shipping regulations
- Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., Descartes, Blue Yonder) and MS Office Suite
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CLTD) or equivalent preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex shipping data
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines
- Valid TWIC card and hazmat certification (or willingness to obtain)
