Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound shipping activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track shipments using logistics software.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure proper handling procedures are followed.
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with third-party carriers when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination (1-2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
