Responsibilities
- Process and prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists, ensuring full compliance with international and domestic regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor shipment status in real-time, tracking packages from origin to final destination and proactively resolving any delays or logistical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities in our ERP systems and spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy and proper packaging standards are met for all outgoing freight.
- Communicate effectively with internal sales teams and external clients regarding shipping timelines, customs clearance, and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP) and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors and explain complex shipping terms to clients.
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to visit warehouse facilities as needed.
