Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory levels, and delivery status within the TMS system.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, trucking companies, and clients to resolve logistics issues and provide updates.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with vendors to ensure budget compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
- Assist in the physical organization of the warehouse and loading dock areas when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination role.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or TMS platforms) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and shipping procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
