Responsibilities
- Safe Handling: Load and unload trailers, pallets, and containers safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips and bills of lading to ensure accuracy.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and preparing orders.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus but not required.
