Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily receipt, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and manage the replenishment process to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and strong computer skills in MS Office.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Certification: Forklift certification is highly preferred.
