Apex Logistics Group is currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our operations in Toledo, OH. Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring 100% order accuracy and timely delivery.
- Team Leadership & Development: Hire, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations, conduct regular safety audits, and ensure a zero-accident work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock discrepancies, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize storage space.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Manhattan, or Oracle.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
